IF NOT SURE DON'T DO IT YOU CAN CAUSE A LOT OF DAMAGE!IF IN DOUBT GO TO A GARAGE!
Hope this helps, It's as precise as i can remember!
SO £17(plus VAT) to do yourself, prob about £150 at garage.
Lots, if it broke when it was running. If you do it yourself, it'll be the price of the belt and a shop manual.
if u go to a dealer its about 350
If you take it to a VW dealer it will cost about £450+. If you take it to a VW specialist garage then it will cost about £275. You can also buy the belt yourself from Europarts and save more money.
Do not do it yourself unless you are very competant.
2.8 hours labor, $20-$50 for the belt.
At my shop the labor rate is $50 per hour, so that would be a right around $200. I'd recommend replacing the water pump at the same time, possibly crankshaft and camshaft seals.
