Convertible car rear window?

Recently bought a soft top convertible, but rear screen always seems misty/cloudy, even after washing. I think the previous owner used something abrasive on it. Do i REALLY have to replace the whole roof, or is there something i can clean it with to restore its clarity.

Answers:
There are a lot of cleaners that should solve the problem, try the Brown and Gammons website (see below) and search for plastic polish (should come up as £5.99 per bottle). I use a similar polish for the plastic window I bought from there, and it works great.
If it's gone cloudy you will need to replace,
try vinigar or vodka, i know they may not smell nice but just give it a try. its cheaper than a new screan aint it? i had wax on my windscrean and nothing would clear it but i used vinigar n it dryed it out and was as clear as day.
Hate to tell you this but yes it will need to be replace & if it's anything like mine it'll cost ya cause they have to take off the soft top remove the window & sitch in the new one before replacing the roof.
Good luck
If it is glass or perspex then no you cannot fix these materials as the scratches are impossible to take out.
is it a window (hard) or does it have the plastic like window
you can get a replacement rear window on its own with out having to change the roof there are companys that sell just windows on the web
they all seem to end up going like this, choice of replace or live with it.
