What is an induction kit for a car? What purpose does it have?

Answers:
Its a high performance version of an air filter.

The idea is to avoid restricting the air intake and give more power.

Normally sounds sweeter too.
It replaces the normal air filter and allows more air to rush into the carb hence more combustion with petrol and spark causing the car to perform faster.
it s basicly an air filter made out of cloth instead of paper whitch allows more air to be sucked into the engine which in turn gives you an increase in preformance
An induction kit is normally a cone shaped filter that replacs your existing panel filter and airbox.

The idea behind it is to get more air into your engine for less effort.

However, you have to ensure that the cone filter gets fed with lots of cold air instead of just sucking in the hot air from inside the engine bay.

Hot air, being less dense will give you less power. This is the reason that your existing panel filter sits in an airbox that is fed with cold air from the front of the car via pipework.

Fitting an induction kit along with additional piping for cool air will give you a little bit more power, but when you fit it in conjunction with other performance parts like a sports exhaust or backbox, the power increase will be further improved.
