Should i trust HALFORDS to service my mountain bike. What sort of extortionate prices do they charge?
Answers:
I couldn't say, however I would recommend a true bike shop anyway. Our local one charges about 20 quid for a service, or 8 quid for just a gear service.
NO! Dont go to halfords - absolute rip off merchants. Find a local bike shop and get a quote from them - much more likely to be fair.
What - paying for a service on a push-bike !
Do it yourself surely.
I used to "service" my bike when I was at primary school.
What - change the oil, refil the radiator, bled the brakes ? NO.
Oil the chain, pump up the tyres, put a spanner on the brakes.
I am intrigued as to what is in a push-bike service.
What's involved in servicing a bicycle. I would have thought that anyone who knows a spanner from a stick of celery could probably do a good jon themselves.
.what sort of ham-fist baboon are you?
Buy a book
Read it
do it yourself.
A bike is not rocket science
Richards Bicycle Book is a good start, but Ill bet ther`ll be a Haynes manual.
Have a look on amazon
Some times school drop outs are cleverer then you think
id rather trust my kids to do it!
find yourself a proper bike shop.
Find yourself a small bike shop its probably cheaper and better service. In my experience the smaller bike shops have more knowledge and are more helpful if there is a problem.
