My UK driving licence is two years out of date due to keep forgetting to renew it?
Answers:
If your driving licence is out of date you are not covered by your insurance and if you have an accident you will personally have to pay out for the damages.
Probably best to go to the DVLA website
tell dvlc you have lost your licence you may have to fill in form with all your details but you should get a new licence
You might have to resit your test. However if you are caught you risk a fine of £1000!

I would just contact them and say you need a replacement one and see what they say after this.
You obviously mean a provisional driving licence, as a full UK licence doesn't go out of date, as such. You cannot just renew your licence anyway, you have to resit your theory test again. You have two years from passing your practical test to obtain your full driving licence, if you don't you will have to resit the theory and the practical test again.
