How do you time peugeot 106 1.5 diesel engine?

r reg peugeot 106 diesel had pump changed but person never timed the engine up it now running like sack spuds

Answers:
you have to use special tools or make some up.
under the timing cover you will find that the pump pulley and the cam pulley have holes in them. Put the pins through untill they go into the cyl head.
If i remember its a tud5 engine in the 1500s which means there is also a point at the front of the engine block as you look at it. Open the bonnet and look down past the no.4 injector there should be a hole going into the back of the flywheel.normaly you could ise an drill bit to lock it.
any problems get back to me.
take it to a mechanic who know what they are doing
You need a manual, Haynes are good, if after reading it looks too complicated take the car to a mechanic.
start the engine then immedeately push start on your stopclock. Count how many revs the car makes in your preffered period of time ( probably 5 mins ) then write it down backwards on a peice of slate.

what?
dont mess with timing , take it to a guy who knows what hes doing , or you could make it worse
