The electric windows on my audi A6 had all wound down to halfway overnight - anyone else had this problem?
Answers:
Your computer box needs some sorting out!
You're first problem was when you bought the audi A6
yes used to happen on my audi a4 all the time its because you have wound down the window but the window hasnt moved, then during the night it has dropped down to were is should be, if musta been f,n freezin in there today, you need to see machanic he can fix it really cheap practically nothing.
you better claim u r guarantee.
The window motors have sensors that can tell if a window is stiff to shut .The reason for this is if a child's hand was caught in the window going up they will automatically retract it a safety device.Because your rear window is stiff the system thinks it has something stuck in it therefore it retracts. You need to lubricate the rubber window surrounds the one the glass slides in use WD40 this should fix your problem.Regards Mick UK owned and work on Audi.Take no notice of the doom merchants you have an excellent car.
Computer related or related to your electronic key. Sounds like an expensive repair needed..
Had an audi in my shop one time. hot as heck outside. went to park it and put up the windows. the windows automatically rolled down half way. seems like the inside temp was too hot. that MIGHT be what happened. hope I helped ya out.
have the comfort opening function removed, the windows will open even from inside your house if you sit on the keys or the kids play with the key buttons.
The rear window fault is separate issue and the regulator needs to be checked
Unfortunately I think this is a growing trait with Audi. I had a 2002 TT and now a 2006 A-4. Both have had a ghost in the machine so to say.
The TT windows had a mind of their own and seemed to roll up and down whenever they wanted.
Don't even bother taking it to a dealer or you will hear those ole so famous words, sorry we cannot duplicate the problem! BS if you ask me.
Weird. Never heard of this before.
