What power steering oil is used in a golf TDI 1.9 150bhp 2002 model?

Good quality DIESEL oil not the stuff for petrol cars.

do NOT put diesel engine oil in the power steering reservoir you WILL damage it. As far as i know use dexron/ATF its the same stuff just a differrent name or check the hand book jst to make sure it isnt synthetic but i dont think they use synthetic atf to the best of my knowledge.
i believe its trans fluid but call a parts store or the dealer they'll be able to tell you exactly what goes in it.
its atf (automatic transmission fluid) its red in colour and is much thicker than any engine oil
Hiya, if the fluid colour is green & it smells of cats urine then it takes mineral power steering fluid.
if its red it takes Dextron (Automatic transmission fluid) hope this is of help.
