Can i Avoid a Speed camera?

I have heard that certain sprays applied to a registration plate makes it appear blank on a spped camera photo. is this true and are there any other ways to do this?

Answers:
A light film of wd40 or another thin oil attracts all the road muck to where it is applied, you wouldn't believe how fast your numberplates become illegible
Probably, but speed cameras are not there to catch you out. It's a deterrent to keep you and those around you safe.
I would try sticking to the speed limit!
Some of those sprays do work, but only on the old style analogue Gatso cameras. Even then they are not foolproof and I have known people who have been caught. They do not work on the new digital or specs cameras to my knowledge.

Better are the GPS systems that tell you where the fixed a mobile camera locations are.
you can but a device like a satnav system that tells you if you are approaching a speed camera. They are there for a reason though!!!!!
you should not have to, be responsible and drive at the speed limit.
yeah go by the speed limit ha ha
Yeah, it is true.

You spray it on your number plate and when the camera takes a pick the spray reflects the flash and makes the plate seem blank. I knew a website where you could buy it but i totally forgot what it is. No one will even know the sparay is on as it is totally invisible!
No you cannot avoid a speed camera; u can avoid getting caught by driving slow.
Speed is the #1 cause of death along with drinking and driving. PLEASE SLOW DOWN.
Three ways you can avoid being caught by a speed camera.

One, change your plates with black insulation tape whilst driving.

Two, steal plates and use them instead of your own.

Or three, call me naive, but drive within the parimeters of the speed limits set by law.
I was told the 'secret' weapon is hairspray?
The best to avoid speed cameras is keep to the
speed limit
Don't be a plonker DON'T SPEED!! think of OTHERS you SELFISH PERSON!!!!!!!!.
Various things went on the market here in Ontario when photo radar started. All of them proved not worth buying, including sprays and polarized covers for your tags. They dont work. Remember anything you can think of has already been tested by the people making these things. Best thing to do is drive the speed limit or at the most 10 over and you wont ever be bothered and will probably live longer.
Yes there are coatings that can be applied that can opscure the figures to a lens. These are illegal tho and if a police car has a camera in it it will pull you and charge you.
Drive at the speed limit. Problem solved. I'll have my 10 points now please.
Those sprays can work as they reflect the flash back, but they don't always. Best off getting a camera detector and if you really don't wanna slow down for the camera, use the pavement or a grassy verge, they can't scan there!!
Swerve wildly to avoid them, going into the path of oncoming cars who will also have to swerve, AND get flashed by the camera going the wrong direction. HA!
Only by passing camera at 177 mph or higher can u beat the camera
my seven year old was knocked down by a car as well as thousands of other children that happens each day and its all down to idiots like you that think you are above the law KILL YOUR SPEED BEFORE YOU KILL SOMEONE THE CAMERAS ARE THER FOR A REASON NOT FOR THE GAME YOU WANT TO PLAY
there is a way but its illegal well only if the cops don't see it and the only way they can is if they too close to your *** it's a clear film but it got a almost invisilbe mirrored layer on it get in max power place like that good luck don't get too many fines
yes, dont drive past them
