I have an old Puegeot 205 but no handbook, can anyone tell me where the oil should come to on the dipstick?

Answers:
Sounds to me like theirs 2 dipsticks!!
somwhere between the to groves at the bottom of the dip stick, but not below or above
remove dipsik and wipe clean ther should be a minimum and max line about an inch or so away from the bottom of the dipsik put the sick back in leave for a few seconds take back out and look if you still cant tell most garages will check for you without charge.
if there is no full line there should be 4 dots. the oil at the 4th dot means full, 3rd dot means add i qt, 2nd dot add 2qts 1st dot add 3 qts and if theres none add 4qts.
at the base of the dipstick there should be two marks or grooves, the top one is the maximum fill level and the lower one is the minimum fill level. anywhere between these two grooves is fine. remember to clean your dipstick first and then replace to check level. also make sure the engine is cold and has not been running recently as this could lead to a false reading.
