Why has Switzerland banned motor racing?

Answers:
Because it is inherently not safe, and the Swiss like everything to run like clockwork with as little risk as possible (unless you are wearing skis).
Have they really? Acid rain, pollution, noise, pollution of people travelling to view it, I guess.
Interesting, have they also banned all other fuel driven vehicles? The glaciers are almost gone with global warming - although the loss of ski tourists may be a factor in at least being seen to do something
It was in the light of the Mercedes Benz crash at Le Mans in 1955. I think the driver who went off into the crows was Swiss.

They decided that it was dagerous and therefore could be done in hermetically sealed Switzerland
