I own an alfa 156 1.8ts r reg. When i put my foot down to accelerate hard it does'nt want to seem to go.?
Any suggestions?

Take the hand brake off!!
service the mutha! change spark plugs and leads, change distributor cap, change air filter, oil filter and oil, If its still slow you might have to start replacing some expensive bits like fuel pump and filter, head gasket (maybe), hope that helps a bit
Have you tried starting first?
it is called turbolag! Your turbine takes a few seconds to get wound up to speed and most older models need to be doing about 40-50 to get the best effective use.
Or if you are nonturbo try steadily depressing the pedal instead of slamming it down, this uses the best of your rev range.
run a bottle of redex fuel system cleaner though your engine, as it sounds like the car i had once, and one bottle of redex sorted it out. also try the octane booster, also by redex and that does'nt work let me know. Ian.
This could be about 500 things starting from a tune up to bad fuel. If you can't figure it out just take it to the shop. By the time you figure it out yourself you will waste a lot of time and money. This is the same reason we have doctors, lawyers, IT people, so on.
there's a mass air flow sensor that controls the fuel flow it's a well known fault , if the injector light comes on that's probably what it is , i had to get mine changed , sit down first it cost £440 shocking !!
