It depends on a few things. 1) How big are the clowns? 2) Is this a convertible VW or hardtop? Have the clowns eaten any beans before attempting to get into the VW? You must consider all factors to get an accurate number. But I must add this is an excellent question compared to some I have read on here!

Well, I can fit 10 in my 1972 orange super beetle comfortably, but I can probably fit 16 very uncomfortably. Now..what color is the car and the clowns wigs?
We weren't dressed as clowns, but in high school, I fit 16 people in my 56 VW..oh what a blast it was trying to get everyone back "out!" Good luck.
