Bmw's have problems with service lights. its a well known fact that on older cars they do whatever they want!
On some models they dont light up at all until inspection is required,on others they come on when you fist turn on the ign but then go out straight away.
You cant take the bulbs out because there led's in the red and green panel's below your clocks.
If youve just had work done ring them up and ask them if they reset the service lights if not it may have decided to go faulty like the other thousands out there!
Did you use a dealer or some random mechanic? They may have just taken the buld out of the cluster and charged you full price for repairs. Take it to a dealer to check out.
