Hi guys, im looking to buy alloy wheels a peugeot 206, but not sure what wheel nut and keys are?sum1 pls help?
Answers:
wheel nuts are the nuts that hold your wheels or rims to axles of the car. Wheel nut keys is the tool used to get the lock nuts off .They are similar to the normal nuts but you need the key to remove them because the head is shaped different for each set the key fits in the wheel brace then onto the nut.If you cannot find your key you can hammer a tight fitting socket and use a breaker bar.
The wheel nuts hold the wheels onto the bolts. Locking wheel nut keys are a special adapter to enable you to loosen and tighten a special wheel nut. This to stop people from stealing your wheels supposedly but it can still be done, it's just more difficult.
For a 206 you will need bolts, and and the key is for the lock bolts, it comes as a set of 4 so one on each wheel to stop you coming back to the car only to find it on bricks.
When buying your alloys you should be supplied with a set if 16 new bolts as the length of the bolt needs tobe bigger, as the gap between the hub and the wheel will be bigger.
wheels on your car have 4 r 5 nuts holding them on. some people when they get alloys buy a set of locking nuts pack of four .(one for each wheel) these lock nuts have their own key so you have three regular nuts and one lock nut on each wheel . the lock nut will be different from the rest and will need a key otherwise ull find it hard to get the wheel off
Isn't it a locking nut with a key ..prevent being stolen
If you are buying it new the agent will sort that, if used call (07783670968) and we'll get it done.
