How do i change a 1993 Mazda 323 brake pads?
Answers:
Typical Japanese car.
First, you will find two pins with bolt heads (probably 17mm) around the back of the caliper. Loosen the upper one and remove the lower one. You should then be able to pivot the caliper upward, off of its mount (the bar that I think you're talking about). The pads will be in the mount, still near the rotor. They should be easily removable and replaceable (you will also need to remove the anti-rattle springs, and set them aside if you don't have new ones). Then remove the upper pin and the master cylinder cap, and with a C-clamp press the caliper piston back into the caliper (you may want to use the old brake pad to make it easier--have the pad sandwiched between the clamp and the caliper piston). While you're at it, you can R & R the rotor now if you're going to do it. Replace the rotor, then the rack, and the caliper and pins securely. (You can put the upper one in first, then pivot the caliper down over the mount and rotor--this will be easier.)
This is much easier than I made it sound. Have fun!
Take it to a mechanic!
take it to the garage, they will do it, save u from all this hassle x
Remove the old pads and refit the new ones by reversing the sequence.
Best phone a friend or ask the audience.
Take it to a local garage< I took mine to the main dealer and they ripped me off to unseize my brakes. I then had to put the pads on myself< also they gave me a list of other things that was wrong with my car
