Got a v w passat t d i se 2001 dose anyone know how t adjust the fan belt or were the tensioner is to adjust?

cant find the adjuster and the fan belt keeps squeeling

if you loosen slightly the top bolt on the alternator,then loosen the bottom you will be able to push it back and add tension to the belt,when you have it back tighten as quick as poss,but dnt do the belt to tight as it will wear out the bearings in the alternator,
If it uses a serpentine belt you may not be able to adjust the tension. The problem may be a bad belt (old ) that is slipping, or the spring in the tensioner has grown weak. I have seen this happen and the tensioner needs replaced. Try replacing the belt first then the tensioner.
