I agree with the previous post. At about 15% remaining. You still have plenty of mileage left in them. Don't be pressurised by a dealership or service centre with tales of horror. I know, I usually wait until it is metal on metal to change mine!! I am unsue if you have a warning light on the 1.2 that indicates when pad wear is approaching end of life. Check your servicing manual (if you have one). Regards.
change them asap, the longer you leave it the more chance of damaging your brake discs

the clio doesnt have a brake pad warning light on your dash board, if they wear too far then the metal on the back of the bads will score your disc. Work it out - total miles done = 40%, you can estimate how many miles you can do before you need new pads
There is a wear indicator built into the front disk brake pads.
When it starts to make noise, it's time to change the pads.
You don't need to do anything until then. But, when the wear indicator starts sounding off you're down to 20% or so and need change them out pretty fast.
Replace when they hit the indicator tab, or just before they are down to the rivets that will damage the rotor/drum.
Then again, the pads themselves are pretty cheap (about $25/set), so if your doing them yourself, it's a pretty small cost.
