I have checked my fuses and bulbs and they are OK but most of my interior and exterior lights are not working!
Answers:
look at replacing the headlight switch. most all of your lights are controled by it and beacuse it is a "Potted" unit you can not repair it but only replace it. check to be sure the connections are good but it sounds like this is your problem
have you made sure you havent tripped a switch?
Also check the wire harness connectors where there may be come corrosion. The fact that several lights are not functioning indicates a problem from a central location. Get the wiring schematics from the dealer of your vehicle or by a Chiltons book at the auto parts store.
sounds like a faulty voltage regulator check that .

seriously check your bulbs individualy, sometimes this can cause the problem, or there could be a bad connection (ie, rusty)
some cars are using external RELAYS to aid switches in handling high currents so check them in front of engine in fuses box or under the dashboard.and other cars are equipped by main fuse with large current capacity connected from battery lugs to inside the car,no place for regulator problem with this problem and search for earthing main wire from -ve lug to chassis maybe un tightened(the branched one not the main one.

Year and model? Make sure there are no fuses missing, some cars have fuses under the hood also
Could I take a guess that you have an Escort?
If so the electrics are appalling on them.
Two possibilities.
1. The headlight switch.
2. The fusebox assembly.
