These are really good cars,my daughter has had the 3O4 and the 306 and has had no problems. Parts aren't too expensive either should you need any repairs in the future. In my opinion you should go for it.But always get the opinion of a mechanic or at least a friend or family member to have a good look over the car before you purchase it.Their are a lot of doggy motor traders about,I know I was married to one of them for 3O years!!!!!
Having said that, obviously he wouldn't have let our daughter drive a car that wasn't reliable and two of the cars he got for her were ,as I said ,the 3O4 and the 3O6. Happy motering, and do take care, there are a lot of idiots out there on the road you have to have eyes in the back of your head.
peogeot not bad cars in general but keep on top of those cambelt changes if they snap then you will know about it
In general French cars would not be reputable on the roads. I have heard several reports on Peugeots and not one was positive. I would recommend a Toyota or a manufacturer with such a top class name for durability, safety and realibility.

Forget the Peugeot ;)

Cheaply made plastic french crap take a look at the VW touran
Hi i have one and on the whole am pleased does everything it needs to there is an expensive filter and additive system on the diesel which needs topping up at 48k or so and filter needs checking(600 pound new)although dealers now fit re-cons(cleaned)but fluid still over £100! and car will go into limp mode (only rev to 20rpm) if it blocks .although vital it is not part of any service so check.fuel economy ok not as good as audi's i have owned .if you can buy from a dealer and get any faults done under waranty also check 5 disc cd changer as had five replacements as they are prone to fail .listen to any knocking when driving etc .driver door seal gets rubed when getting in out so check that. nice car to drive doesn't seem like an estate and looks good too! i only do short jouneys and get around 45mpg
the roof is a nice touch oh check the horn works and that the safety recall about battery coverhasben doe (it's free anyway0hope it helps Gareth
Go for it i have one now on an 03 plate and i have not had a single problem i use it for work and i can carry the paperwork from 4 pubs in the boot but make sure u get the air con and make sure you get the diesel!! Now i am a quick driver and i can get from Kent to Shropshire on a Lil more than a tank so i reckon 50+mpg if u are nice lol
It is an excellent family car indeed. It is well built, comfortable, excellent road handling and good engine. Fuel consumption is reasonable (I do not have the exact figures). Definitely a good buy.
Peugeot are very good cars, very reliable, stylish and safe to drive. Thing is they have quite expensive spare parts.
If you're living in the US go for something else.
Really great looking SW i dont need one but i want one.
307's have had a lot of bad press. I have the hatchback version and have had very little problems. I have heard the catalytic converter is renowned to go at about 4 years old but mine is now 4 years old and no problems. If you are buying new then go for it. Second hand, be vigilent about service history etc and make sure it has been in for all the software updates and recalls. Overall, very comfy, good cars. However, I wish they would bring back the 306 as it wipes the floor with the 307!
I sugest you forget about the peugot altogether and go for a SEAT Alhambra. Very stylish and practical. They are also extremely economic if you buy a diesel. http://www.seat.co.uk/generator/su/uk/al.

Fairly cheap as it starts at £16,250
Hi, well, for the past 10 years I was a GM costumer, but last year I bought a french car, a Renault Megane (it was that or a 307, but there wasn't a 307 sedan at the tI'me), and now im buying a Renault Laguna. When i was looking to buy a Renault many people told me that they were crap and that I should buy a Toyota, but there was a problem with the toyota. They are ugly, and besides they are not safe and the fuel consumption is not good.
I can tell you these. When I was at the Renault dealer i told them i wanted the Peugeot and they told me. those are very good cars, actually every buyer that comes to Renault, goes to Peugeot just to look around.

These i know about French cars. the engine is really really good, but also very delicate. You should put a special kind of oil, special kind of coolant, special kind of everything, but if you do that it will be just like new. All 4 cylinder French Cars are really economical, the fuel consumption on my Megane is about 11 km/litter (is the most economical car i had ever own) and the thing is that in that car i feel safe. French cars are not crap, they are just cars you should take care.
YUCK!!!!!BUY A FORD !!
Pugs might be good cars in France and if u r not French then forget it.Before purchasing a car u must have 2 things in mind .
spare parts availability and maintenance cost
resale value
French cars r no match for japanese.
