Is rust a common problem on 190e mercedes models?

i have just acquired a benz with rust

Answers:
Rust on a 190 is an exception rather than the rule, f uck Audi they didnt make decent cars for years. I had an old F reg 190 last year and it was totally rust free. Alle the buying guides say that rust is rare and is often caused by s hitty damage repair.
Yes it is not galvanised like an Audi very very common in Europe
the 190 was made to a price unlike other Benz that were made to a standard, any rust should be light though and in view of the fact that 190 prices are going up it will be worth fixing especially if its a nice spec such as the 2.6 model
It shouldnt really be a major problem as they were built well and had a great chassis. Then again if you live in Britain then the salt in the roads usually destroys most cars
