What is the BEST way to remove bird s h i t from a shiny metallic black car?
Answers:
lay a wet rag on it (in the shade or garage) and let it soak and loosen the crap. Wipe clean and buff.
wash the car..
Hot water, soap, and a SOFT cloth.
you gotta do this careful cos back paint is soft, put LOADS of water on it till it is soft, and really will just run off the car
seriously dude just wash the car. and use a little elbow grease on bird turd spot. you won't dull the finish in one shot. and wax your car regularly. it keeps bird turds from setting in. grime and stuff sits on the layer of wax rather than damaging your paint job.
to be frank, there isn't! but if we hypnotised you into believing you've a white auto then there would be no problem with overall sheen and visual effect, and those gull antics?
hot water and a really wet cloth
washing up liquid and a soft cloth
if its hard, soak it in hot water.
if its baked on with this darn heat/sun, you can get a pre-wash from the auto stores that you just spray on. works a treat on tar spots, bird crap and other sticky annoying marks.
What Dizynman said - lay a wet cloth on it, leave it to soften, then wipe off.
As quickly as possible with warm soapy water and a cloth. I found Denim from an OLD pair of jeans perfect. Just enough texture to get the cr*p off but soft enough not to damage the paint.
You got to be quick though. The acids in bird cr*p start screwing up the paint fast
Meguillar's Final Inspection. It removes everything and it's completely safe, not like goof-off or acetone which will burn the paint. Follow it with a good cleaner wax and then a glaze to provide the shine itself. Now, HAND APPLY a good carnuba based wax such as Meguillar's #26 High-Tech yellow wax found at most auto parts stores. You need the wax to protect the shine. You need the glaze to create it. You need the cleaner so you're not glazing bird-sh*t residue and contaminants. You need the Final Inspection to get the major crap off. I've worked detailing for 4 different car stealers over the course of many years. This is ideally the best way.

Paint Stripper is guaranteed to get rid of the birdie stuff - shame bout the paint tho!
I asked the same question a little while ago. I have black Sebring convertible and asked the question of a young fellow with a new black pick-up truck. He told me to use Goo Gone. I tried it. It works great! A longer route to the same effect is to spread a soaking wet towel over the bird droppings and let it sit for several hours. The stuff will come off.
