Timing belt 1999 1.7td Vauxhall (GM engine)?

Anyone know how to change the timing belt on a 1.7td 1999td Vauxhall Astra its the GM lump not the Isuzu, need some simple instructions as the Haynes manual is way to complicated!

If you are finding the instructions difficult then obviously you dont have the expertise so better to leave it to someone who does.
i dont think you will find a simple way,the amount of different things that it connects to make it complicated and needs to all be timed correctley,sorry
yes, you can do it yourself..but one tooth out of alignment and youll scrap the head. timing belt on a GM shouldnt cost more than 100 quid to get done.. much cheaper than a new engine.
Get yourself a Haynes workshop manual it will tell you how to fit one in there.
