What's the best car for a carer who looks after a wheelchair user, must be automatic?

no "lip" (wall) at the bottom of the boot door on the inside, to lift the wheelchair over, and about the price of a basic ford focus

Answers:
I would find a used Honda Odyssey or CRV. Can the person get out of the chair and into a car seat or immobilized in chair all the time. If immobilized the 2001-2005 odyssey is very nice and has back sliding doors so it is easy to get the chair into and out of. If they can get out then you could get an older odyssey with some miles that would be cheaper.
look at a used minivan.
GOOD QUESTION?i would like to know myself
My father was in a wheelchair, and we had a swivelling seat fitted in the front of the family car (Avensis), for easy in and out.
To be honest I would say get a van of some sort. It'd just be a lot easier to load and unload.
an ex-decommisioned ambulance, something about 3-4 years old and has kneeling rear suspension
Dont buy anything till you check out the Honda Element, trust me its all you want for your needs and more.
