The Door On My Boeing 747,Keeps Getting Jammed,Anyone Had Similar Trouble,I Purchased It Off BA?

That's what happens when you buy something that the A-Team has tinkered with.

It was probably a very good aircraft before Face scammed it off some unsuspecting airline and Howling Mad Murdock got his grubby paws all over it. At least now it'll have mesh over the windows and guns that fire water melons and a hose to soak all the bad guys.

As for the door - That'll be where Hanibal leant out to fire his machine gun and say "I love it when a plan comes together!"

Don't worry about it, if it does all fall apart, then you'll be able to convert it into a submarine or something equally implausible.

If you find you are struggling to convert it, if you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team
Jiggle the handle before you close it.
I think your problem is that your boeing came from a chop shop. They must have welded two boeings together. You just can trust buying aircraft from BA's forecourt!
Rub it with candlewax and it will work a treat! lol
try WD40.
It makes you think about flying BA if the doors on their Boeing 747s keep getting jammed. I mean what about all the other important bits? John Travolta knows all about Boeings but I haven't heard he's had any trouble yet.

I once flew on a Dacota from Liverpool to London and the door wouldn't shut properly so the stewardess had to stand and hold it all the way back to Liverpool! Now that's service for you!
so does the door on my 3 wheeler, just giv it a whack
what is BA ,JUST REMOVE THE LOCKING CYLINDER LUBE IT AND REINSTALL IT IF THIS DOES NOT WORK GO TO BURBANK AIRPORT ASK FOR TONY B HE WILL FIX IT FOR YOU
Assuming you still have the till receipt and that you bought it during the last 12 months you should be covered by the manufacturers warranty. It should still be flyable just keep it below 5000 feet and it should be ok.
Yes knobby im having the same trouble with my Dc10 although i knew better than to buy from British Airways,i use string it`s` against regulations but what the hell, they are all at it !!
yes i too had a similar problem. My citation 10 had the same problem. Of course my jet was covered by warranty still. So if its out of warranty just take a sledge hammer and beat a new door next to the old one! that sometimes will fix it but if that don't work brake a window and use a step latter!
You bought it frm B.A?
Don't you mean E-BAY!!!
WOW! Your's came with doors?
There's a place in northern Michigan that has a couple of 747's lying around. They can probably sell you a door, but the paint won't match. I don't think tying it with string is a good idea, try baling wire, it's much stronger.
i have the same problem with my little piper air craft i just used a piece of rope on it until i can get it repaired, they are supposed to come one day next week and repair it if I'm nor using it,,good luck,,don't fall out of it.
You don't say if it's part of the time, in the air, at park, or both. If it's while in flight, one usually doesn't want to open or close doors because of safety reasons. If you are wanting to open the door while in flight, you have to take into consideration air pressure differences inside and out. Have you checked your pressure equalizer with the pressure equalizer checker? A door will jam in a New York minute if this is in the 'off' position or is faulty. If it jams also while on the ground, it could be caused by the equalizer not equalizing (while in flight), or is erratic in operation causing constant expansion and contraction which will cause the jams to jam while on the ground. Use the door jam sealer checker, this would tell you if this is the case. Good luck.
i use this,it has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together,no not the force, try duct tape
Those Brits, can't trust them.

I'd sell it and use the proceeds as a down payment for a 787.
Lashings and lashings of lard my trumpet. Try some on the inside of your legs to stop that irritating chaffing of the thigh too. I'm off to shave my pet side-parting, toodley pip.
Force the door shut with a crowbar. Then reopen it with a sledgehammer.
Why not fly it in to a building to see if the lock frees up?
You dont say if it jams open or closed. If it stays open, try taping the doorway with Hazard tape. You wouldnt want to leave yourself liable to a claim under Health and safety legislation. If its jammed closed, whats the problem? Just use the rear door.
