How do you remove a paint scrape from a car bumper?
Answers:
Get some rubbing compound and some polish.
Use a small amount of rubbing compound on a cloth and gently rub the paint area. Be careful as the compound is abrasive.
Onve you have removed the paint, use the polish to bring up the sheen.
"T-Cut" baby, get it from Halfords.
I personally would use a little diesel then use warm soapy water to cleanse the diesel off.
Smear the spot with the same colour. Hey, trust me itz cool! It's the latest trend.
T-Cut and a lot of elbow grease. I came back to my car a couple of weeks back and there was a big red scrape down the side (it's a silver car). I was properly p*ssed off but got some T-Cut 'Safecut', and it worked a treat.
Also a product called Farecla is very good, used to use it when I worked in a garage.
Use tar remover, you get it from most car accessory shops. Best as you bumper will be plastic.
Failing that, just use hot soapy water.
put a bit of engine oil on soft cloth and wipe the scratch a couple of times . works like magic.
you will know the answer if you will try it.
White spirit and a lint free cloth so you don't "scratch" the paint
Just rub it gently with a bit of wire wool. That will remove the paint but won't touch your chrome.
If you have a Chrome bumper, use steel wool. If you have a painted bumper, find an automotive paint supply store and by 3M brand Finnesse-It polish, a terry cloth towel and alot of elbow grease will take it off.
I had a huge scuff all the way down the side of my truck and it took all off.
Use t-cut as everyone suggests.
There is an article on t-cut here ;
