Curly cables that connect between the truck and the trailer on articulated lorries?
Answers:
hi , firstly we call them suzies . there are 5 of them in all -
2 are for air . red=emergency air line
yellow=air line for brakes
3 are for electrics , one with a black end , one with a white end and one big fat one . these cover all the electrrics for the trailer including abs . for a tail lift you normally plug a seperate line in for that . hope that helps
i think they are for hydraulic brakes and also the lights.
Electrics for lights and control, air hoses for the air brakes, and other electronics, like brikes and things.
And yes I'm quite sure they're color coded
They are used for
1. for break power.
2 For the light at the back and sides.
They are nicknamed suzy lines.as in the girls name. They are for the rear lights and side lights, and for the air brakes on the trailer. They are colour coded but i dont know which is which but i do know they cannot be mixed up as they have different fittings on them.
red line release hand brake
yellow line for foot brake
black line for electrics/lights
green line for fog lights and aux, ie. tail lift, interior lights
and also on most trucks now an abs line
called suzies.
Red and yellow are air brakes. they carry air to the brakes.
Green and black are electrical, and the other black, but larger end is the abs/ebs system
