when i change gear 1st and 2nd there is a knock,i've been told its a bush but which one?i have replaced the wheel bearings so there ok,and my friend says its nothing to worry about but i need to know which one it is,also can you tell me where to get a service manual for it tayota wants £100 for it i'm not paying that please help!

Definitely sounds like an engine or gearbox mounting beginning to fail. Needs to be sorted out fairly soon. Get someone to sit in the car and jerk it in first gear, you should be able to see the play in the mountings. Usually the first one to go is the rear underside mount.
As for the manual i would try ebay or something similar, but its a rare enough car so main dealer migh be the only option. Also try a brekers yard.

Could it be your engine mounts. This would cause knocking noises. Does the car feel jerky if you accelerate hard then let off the throttle?
