How much does it cost to fix a cam belt in a transit van, which broke down on the M11, the dam thing broke.?
About the above question, it is a deisel van and the RAC tried to start it but only let it turn about 3 times i did only once. hope that did not damage it to much. i did not hear a bang, only what sounded like a spring breaking ?? HELP

You will have to get it towed to a garage - that will cost a lot depending on whether you have insurance for towing. Then to replace the cam belt doesn't cost too much but the labour to do it does, and of course, this all depends on how much damage was done to the engine, which you might have to replace, so all in all you are talking a lot of money.
If your cam belt went on the motorway its gonna be cheaper to scrap the van .
