There's a oil dripping down to ground and my clucth is not working.what do you think is the promblem and cost

My car 1998 ford fista

Answers:
your oil leak and clutch problem are likely related. what has probably happened is you blew the year seal and you now have an oil soaked clutch. the seal needs to be replaced along with the clutch.
Well the Oil part sounds like an oil leak which isnt very good! And if your clutch isnt working i'd say you need a new one. Dont know if the two are related, not as far as I know but best to see a mechanic!
well first of it is a ford.lol it is your slave cylinder for your clutch it shouldn't be alot of money maybe 30$ tops. it is somewhat easy to install also make sure that it bleed well though good luck
Hydraulic fluid leak, not oil. Probably a split pipe so not too expensive for parts. Find a none dealership garage to keep labour costs down.
master cylinder for your clutch is shot or you just sprung a leak in a line some where the lines are cheap cylinder spendy someone to put it in whole deals probably gonna be over a hundred bucks look against the firewall on driver side line should start there find leak that'll tell ya how much
The slave cylinder is probably out of fluid, this is why you can not disengage your clutch. Price depends on type of car, but shouldn't be to expensive.
The clutch hydraulic fluid is leaking.
Points of leak are:
The master cylinder- Located at the end of the clutch foot pedal, where the pedal pushes a rod into the cylinder to create pressure. The rod goes through to the other side of the firewall under the bonnet (hood) to the master cylinder. It has a fluid reservoir on it.

The slave cylinder- The master cylinder creates pressure that is transferred through the high-pressure oil line to the "slave cylinder".
The slave pushes an arm that works the transmission. (throw-out-bearing)

The line between the Master and Slave Cylinders may be leaking where connected.

Lastly check to make sure the "fill cap" is tight on the clutch fluid resovior
Not Working.
If you cannot get it in and out of gear and the pedal has gone floppy and there is a pudle of oil sounds like a slave cylinger although I thought these had a cable clutch.
If everything is fine except the car wont actually go along, the engine screams and you get nowhere it sounds most like a crankshaft oil seal has gone, or a gerbox 1st motion shaft oil seal. has someone overfilled the gearbox, easily done.
Cure is a new clutch but if the Crankshaft seal has blown through carnkcase pressure could mean a new engine, In any case it sounds like a job for the local garage not Crap fit Quickie the Clutch specialists.
The 2 could be related. 1st.is it engine oil on the ground?
2nd.do you have any pressure on the clutch pedal?
If the answer to both these question is yes..then you have a serious problem..sounds like the crank seal has gone on the flywheel end and the oil is going on to the clutch..it means taking the engine out and replacing the seal and and clutch friction plate and pressure plate. the parts it self depending on the car could cost about £70.but the work to do it could cost a lot more.in total about £250. hope this helps.
sounds like you blew a clutch. that's a front wheel drive car so pulling the transmission will not be easy you might get away with pulling the suspension on the transmission side of the car and sliding it out through the wheel well. failing that the engine and transmission need to come out to replace the clutch. While you are at it, check on where the leak is. if you have the motor out you night have to rweplace the rear main seal on the crank shaft. when the clutch blew it might have trashed that.
Probably the clutch slave cylinder gone and the 'oil' dripping is hydraulic fluid. If it is oil, then it will be the crankshaft main oil seal, and the oil will be dripping out of the bell housing, after having soaked the clutch cover, plate and release bearing.
sounds like you have an oil leak and its getting to the clutch plate it will cause it to slip or smell burned unfortunatly if it is the clutch plate is ruined and needs to be replaced
Could be a slave or master cyl, blown out
The slave cylinder for the clutch is ruined for sure
Your better of replacing the master and slave cylinder so that your done with them both

Or just buy e repair kit for them, most of the time the rubber inside is cracked and starts leaking bad but from your description it leaked every oil out so your better of buying a new one
DEFINATE OIL LEAK AND COULD BE RELATED TO THE CLUTCH PROB NEED A MECHANIC TO ADVISE ON BOTH TO REPAIR
old fiestas use an old borg/warner gearbox which has a habit of bending clutch release arms .if your gear lever will not engage ,and u crunch gears ,this could be the problem
do you know what sort of oil
The problem, if it is a rear wheel drive, is most likely the rear main seal has blown and the oil is dripping from there. The cost of the part is minimal but the labor is what the job will require. driveshaft , crossmember, bell housing and linkage & transmission need to be removed, the old seal pulled and a new one knocked in.. The price depends on where you take it and their hourly labor rate. if you know a good "shadetree mechanic" you could probably get it done in a day, barring any unforseen problems, for $100 to $200.
