How do I fix a broken boot lock on a ford fiesta (not electric / central locking system)?
I can get to the lock from the inside - by lowering the back seats, so does anyone know if these locks have somekind of internal release on them?
Any serious suggestions will be appreciated - thanks very much.

you can open them from inside with a screwdriver into the catch, if you find this difficult remove the cover off the boot lid and pull the rod up instead.
all you need then is a replacement lock!

all ford boots can be opened from the inside there is normaly a latch that will release the boot
I have a similar problem with my Fiesta, it was the drivers door that went first, then the boot. I've been told that it's a fault that comes with old age, It does make it difficult though, I have to get into the car via the passengers door all the time & even had to move my 2 sons into a house share when the boot lock had broken, it was hard work!
I didn't know that there was a release from the inside the boot, we've had a look but can't find anything!
This happened to me only it was the drivers door lock. You should be able to release the lock from inside providing you can get to it, there is usually a door card in the way. I removed my lock barrel and a motor factor locksmith rebuild my lock enabling me to keep the one key for all locks. There's nothing more annoying than 2 or 3 keys on your keyring for different locks. Do an Internet search for a vehicle locksmith near to you. Hope this helps, good luck.
try spraying some wd40 in it first to loosen the key slides inside then work the key in and out and if that does`nt work buy a new boot lock.
