Are locking wheel nuts unique??
Answers:
Locking wheel nuts are unique to a degree otherwise they wouldnt be a lot of use, if they are standard then the dealer may be able to help you out, if they are after market then the supplier can manufacturer a new key however the easiest way is to buy (or hire if you can) a locking wheel nut remover which is a specail socket that will bite in to the wheel nut and then when you have removed them buy a new set for about £15 and make a note of the seriel number so you can always get a replacement key if you need it
They are not unique but you best get it at your dealership partsstore.
If I lost my wheel locking nut, I would take the number back to Ford which is on the documents I received and kept safe.
You can always get multiple sets of different locking wheel nuts, so it requires more than 1 key to get the wheel off if you are that paranoid.
you will probably need to buy a complete new set of locking wheel nuts, but most are really easy to take off without the special "key" anyway so if someone wants your wheels the locking wheel nuts will hardly slow them down.

No, they are not totally unique, but try to get one that is from the same model car.
