How does a car assembly line works?
time to park a car?
how much space you need for parking if you have a 30 cars a day rate of production?
Answers:
i think henry ford started the principle of production lines, which are made up of small groups of men who are each responsible for assembling a piece of the car. starting with the chasis and fixing the engine, exhaust, body, interior, all electrics and fixtures and fittings. Once each team has assembles their own part the car is then moved on in the production line ready for the next part to be fitted. The length of time to make a car will vary depending on the car, a ford made in a big factory might be made very quickly but a rolls royce would take longer because they take alot more care to make sure it is perfect.
I have only been to the Nissan assembly line in South Africa. There, it takes four days to build a car from scratch, which includes pressing body panels. Every four minutes a completed car rolls off their line.
Re. the amount of space you would need, it obviously depends on how fast your completed stock is moved to dealers / owners. If you move less cars a day than you assemble, your storage space will have to increase constantly.
