Corsa sri help please?
Answers:
coolant temp sensor could be faulty, thisn not only drives the temp gauge but tells the ecu that the vehicle is at normaal temp which then weakens the fuel mixture so the wcu thinks the car is hot when it isnt
Maybe the dianogtic machine caused the problems ?
I must agree with Roary69, my friend had a similar problem with his omega, changing the sensor sorted it out
when it gets to temperature is any water noticed from the exhaust, either in steam form or drops?
is the spluttering more of a misfire?
disconnect the battery overnight. (make sure you have radio code) the engine managment will reset itself. and cure the fault. also handy to do this if any car fails mot on emissions. saving the cost of a new cat'...dont all thank me at once. lol
could be the fuel pressure is low, fuel pump worn.
does it cut out and sometimes over rev?
Is the engine management light on constanlty?
If so it is the same problem my girlfriends corsa had change the idle control valve about £150 from a dealer,£50 from ebay.
