orygun- gave an interesting answer, maybe a little too interesting, the Miura was a very fast car but it had a single v12, not 2 6 cylinder engines.
And as for passing a parked Miura at 100 mph and it catching you within a 1/4 mile, you have got to be kidding. At 100 mph, the 1/4 mile will have been travelled in under 10 sec. Only a couple of today's fastest cars, like the Bugatti with about double the horsepower of the Miura, can come close to that mark.

Officially, the fastest road legal car is the Callaway Corvette Sledgehammer, a twin turbo modified (but road legal) Corvette.
Way back in 1989, it did 254.76 mph (actually timed) on a high speed test track in Ohio. It was actually driven from Connecticut to Ohio, not trailered.
