Anyone own/ed a Hyundai Coupe 95-99? How was it?
Answers:
Nice looking, comfortable and handles well. Not a thoroughbred sportscar, but does the job. at a price
Middle of the road, but fun
A pocket rocket, but a bit plastic in some respects
A great low-cost easy to tune stylish purchase
but i like the 2005 model
As they say in French "Junque"
Shame you don't want one of the late 1999 to early 2001 models - I've had two of those now. However, given that they are essentially the same car mechanically, I can report that you want a 2 litre (the 1.6 is slow), that they are bomb proof reliability wise, but a little low on safety spec (no passenger airbag), extremely well equipped and look better than anything else even close money wise.. many of these were bought as second cars for reasonably well off women or for older drivers who wanted sporty looks but with reliability so you should have a decent choice of low mileage examples.
have 97 se very reliable they put it in milan motor show they thought it was a ferrari, look out the back window when ur doing ton plus awesome, holdsd the road like glue, all the mags say its slow, torque is great, handlin a dream, black leather interior is dom mobile
Haven't owned that particular model, but have owned 2003 se model since new, and can say it's been a really good car! totally reliable, good looks and good spec as standard, knew someone who had a 97se model from new (v.similar spec) and they had no problems at all in 7 yrs and passed every mot 1st time.
Ok so Hyundais dont have the best image in the world but get used to that and you prob wont go to far wrong!
