Depends on the price really. Superbly reliable engine if it gets regular oil changes.not 12000 miles, but 3000 miles for long life. I've known a lot of these engines last 500k if looked after. Build quality on Rovers is very good. Parts not a problem either.
It is a "Dead" car - production stopped.
as toney has said not bade if looked after but parts will become short soon so be carfull!
do not buy it!!
the biggest disaster austin ever made was the montego, the 2l engine is same as rover 2l, heaps of a word not pemmitted here
only buy this car if you have more money than sense! i used to sell these and they are nothing but trouble!! no wonder rover went broke!
