I own a ford focus 1.4 and have heard I can buy something that will make it perform like a 1.6. Is this true?

whats the point dude? you wouldnt notice a difference enough to justify the dough laid out,put a sport tailpipe on it, wont go any quicker but it will sound is if it is,save your money man until you are ready to change your car!
Yeah remove the engine and repalce it with A 1.6 LITRE ENGINE
You might be able to buy a different computer chip, or reprogram the one you have, for more performance. But I think that you'll probably shorten the lifetime of the engine, and reduce the reliability of it too.
If this is a fuel injected engine, you can purchase a Digital Fuel Optimizer, which when installed, can increase horsepower and torque. Go to Dobekperformance.com for more info.
the only thing that will actually make your car go like a 1600 is a 1600 engine.
ok so i lie a very expensive rebuild or a turbo conversion would also do it.
all the bolt on goodies you can buy make lots of marvellous claims but im yet to see one that will give you the 15bhp your missing.
