Sorry us yanks only have a Mercu Scorpia on this side of the pond. Spelling is correct Mercu is German for Mercury and that is where the came from. The Scorpia was a sedan and the XR4Ti was a sports coup.

Seriously, ebay is the best place. they are mega cheap, especially the fish faced ones rather than the more superior Granada Scorpio.
£500 gets you a lot of motor car.
you could also try your local motor auctions, the trade hate them so they offload them to auction when they come in part exchange. The small dealers cant shift them so they tend to go from as little as £10(yes, a tenner)at the auctions.
Nothing really wrong with them either.
Bear in mind that the late non Granada fish face Scorpio suffer head gasket trouble on the 2.3 models and all models have problems with the engine bay wiring loom.
I would go for the earlier Granada Scorpio, a fully loaded car for very little money.
I have one sat outside with 328,000 miles on it and still going strong. Not bad for £90 tax and tested, electric everything, air con, cruise control etc.
