Does anyone know how to remove a cigar lighter from its socket from a nissan almera. Its stuck fast!?

I actually think its a fault in those cars!! I had the exact same poblem when I had an almera a few years back! I brought it back to the garage and they got it our for me free of charge - might be worth a try!
Don't have one myself but they are usually trim fitted which can be remove carefully with a small screw driver pressing at 9 an 3 o'clock and lever out, please disconnect your battery before you attempt this as if you touch the wrong part of the socket, you will give yourselves a small shock worst still will fused out some other system in the rest of the car too as they are normally fed direct from the battery have fun..
with a pair of pliers grasp the knob and pull straight.if the knob comes off..grasp the center screw and pull..
