Answers:
Left my car at standsted for three weeks and apart from dust it was the same as i left it
It's the un-official ones you need to worry about. I've never had any probs :O)
if you look at the number of problems compared to the number of cars if relatively small risk. we left our car at a heathrow one a couple of years ago, it had 14 mines on the clock but no major problems.
Geez, with all the stuff I've seen going on at Heathrow, I wouldn't leave my car there for 2 weeks.:( I don't blame you for worrying!

I live in the US (though I travel to London frequently), and fly out of LAX -- I wouldn't leave my car in the airport garage if my life depended on it. Something like 200 break-ins every day there -- from what I've heard, a rate similar to Heathrow! I park at a private car park near the airport, which costs about $12 a day, is fully covered, has 24-hour guards and surveillance, and will even supply a jump start if you are gone for a week and leave a light on (like I did once!). The peace of mind is well worth the money. Aren't there similar private car parks near Heathrow? I seem to remember there are.which provide shuttle service to the airport just like the one I use near LAX. Good luck.
It will be safe, but it'l cost you about as much as your holiday!
you really are a stupid women , maybe you cant park, oh ask your husband, oh yeah hes your ex no wonder he left you
Think i watched the same programme as you !!, would rather get a taxi to the airports. My brother left his car at one of Manchester airports car parking places, said when he got back that the seats had been moved [ we told him he was being daft ],. now we know .!!
I saw that as well, but that was at car parks where you have to leave the keys with the car park people.
I parked in the Long Term car park at Heathrow when I went to New York 2 years ago. Its situated a few roads away from Terminal 4. I had no problems when i came back. Ive also parked in the Long Term car parks at Luton & Stansted as well with no problem.
If you can get a taxi there and backfor the same money as the car park fee do that, I left my car for a week at a different airport and came back to find a big scratch in the rear bumper =(
I have never left my car in an airport car park for more than a couple of hours. I wouldn't recommend leaving a car in a car park for 2 weeks.
sure and while its there leave your keys in it with a sign on the windscreen.."please rob or damage me!"
i've left my car with aph nr gatwick 3 years running now and never had a problem.
if you are insured and have satellite tracking, go for it..
