Answers:
If your only 17 you will be too young to buy car body filler because it is a solvent.
Solvent abuse can kill.
Please use spell check before posting little boy.
WHY ?
get a grip on reality.your cossie is not worth the hassle
use chewing gum
worth a try but if its a big area it may fall out going over a bump as theirs no give in it, try fiberglass, more plyable and alot stronger, good luck mate, dont listen to others you have a classic nice car !!!
what cossie have you got? cos they dont have back arches?.but on such a car do it properly, at those speeds it will just fall off !!
If you just use filler, it will fall out.
If you really want to make this, mod, get an old biscuit tin and with tin snips and pliers, rough it into the shape you want to extend.
Temporary fit it into place with screws.
Use fibre glass and resin to make the permenant fixture. Remove screws - if possible.
Then use the filler to make up the shape.
Finally, use cellulose putty to make the final skin.
use Gripfil
comes in a green and black tube buy from builders merchants ie jewsons..
clamp the arches in place-pre drill holes for pop rivets-apply two pack epoxy glue (try and get a two into one squeezy gun less mess ) swiftly rivet the arch in place - fibre glass bridging filler a rough shape (sand smooth)-filler a good shape then smooth -stopper for final skim/removal of pin holes - filler primer- easy ..one tip-dont bake the top coat-all trapped air will blow through the surface and ruin youre hard work
The filler is OK .. it's just a FORD
No do not use just body filler ! This will crack the first time you take the car on the road ! you need to buy some "stickflex" bonding sealant ( similar stuff they use to put wind screen`s in with ) this will allow movement in the bodykitt you are trying to fit . Very messy job though you will need rubber gloves for this cause it`s a bastard to get off your finger`s afterwards . email me for futher info if you need it .. good luck .
