Is it possible to recharge?

air conditioning in a hyundai sonata myself or is it a specialist job.

Answers:
defiantley a specialist job as there will be local regulations governing the use of the gas used as it can be harmful if your in the uk average charge is about £65
DO NOT do it yourself unless you have the proper gauges and equipment. If you put too much refrigerant in you can blow out the compressor and the $75 recharge job will turn into a $1000 bill to get your a/c working again
you probably could do it, but I wouldn't risk breaking even more of the car, take it to the dealership, they no what to do
I wouldn't even attempt it without proper equipment. It only costs about £40 at most garages anyway so it's not worth the hassle.
SPECIALIST'S JOB ONLY
as somone has already told you there are 2 types of the gas,one of them when it escapes and comes into contact with a warm or hot heat sorce turns in to mustard gas.if you dont no what this is look it up and i think you will change your mind.hope this helps.
