I dont know about breakdown coverage, but AAA has a towing coverage for motorhomes. try the www.aaa.com website.
check with your bank nowadays they offer you free breakdown cover amongst other things i get charged 9 £ per month with barclays and you have full green flag cover

having worked on recovery if you doo break down tell the operator your circumstances and they will send a flat bed truck for your car and hook the van up much like you do to your car
