After how many miles should you change a timeing belt on a vauxhall meriva?

Answers:
most vauxhalls change at 40000 or 4 years, check with dealer to be sure.
most cars you change the timing belts at 60,000miles.
I dont know how much that is in Kilometres, but every 60k you should change it out.
not too sure ..vectra every 40000 .
Check with dearship
Simple question but hard to answer. I had my cam belt changed at 40,000 miles and then went on a 300 mile journey, and guess what, on the way home the belt snapped, luckily it did not effect the engine, but on most cars its a new engine. It has always amazed me that a nylon belt drives nearly all engines.
Keep the belt, change the car.
40,000 miles Regards Mick
I would aim at any service close to 50000 miles
vuaxhall reccomend 30,000 miles but it depends a lot of the time 12,000 is abetter bet the ecotec engine is called an interferance engine so if the belt goes the engine is knackered also change the idlers as well and every 3 times the tensioner
