The whole porsche & playboy thing is a farce, to run a porsche you need a serious amount of wodge, something you don't normally attain until your in your 40's. At that point your normally married with kids!
People say its a mid life crisis thing, it's not, you just can't afford one until then unless your very lucky! (or a drug dealer!)
They don't suit people with kids though! At that point you have to start looking at the AMG mercedes instead!

dont worry..single males are not the only ones who drive porsches..I live in westwood near beverly hills, and most of the porsches around here are driven by either married couples, and girls, and a few single guys, my family owns 2, one for each parent.but they usually drive just one, if you dont need a lot of trunk space thats the car to buy!
I know.I hate that stupid California law! I went to the Porsche dealer in Newport Beach and was told I couldn't purcase one because I had recently been married, so I went and bought a BMW instead.

its not true. my boyfriend is 27, not single since hes my boyfriend, duh. and has lots of hair (on his head) and my friend's future mother-in-law has a porsche as well. so um neither is a single middle aged balding man. :)

We use to have a 911SC as the family car.
One Christmas we put two 11 years old in the back jump seat - and drove south for the holidays -- complete with 2 weeks worth of clothes for all 4 of us. When we hit Florida - we went to a UPS store and shipped the dirty laundry home.
So, I guess not everyone who owns one has to be single.
because if you really love the car you wont want anyone else driving it.and if you have a wife/girlfriend, she will want to drive it! especially if you have an 80s 911 carrera! beautiful! imagine the pain and distress if she crashed it.it would be the end of your relationship.

You tend to alienate family and friends when you have a car THIS good. It calls you.it wants you.it needs to be paid attention to.
For people who CAN, and LOVE to drive(not pose), there is no substitute.
