Is the toyota yaris a decent car to buy?

yes but recommend test drivng it as it feels very different i cldnt stand driving one yet my friend loved hers
It's small and lacks power. However, it costs 12-14k and gets 40 mpg, and is built by Toyota. All in all, it's an excellent car.
It is highly recommended if you want an unremarkable but reliable vehicle that does everything "it says on the box"
yes Japaneese, reliable and cheap to run/insure better than anything French/Italian even if you think they might me more stylish. As for a Corsa . old hat, Fiesta not bad, but Jap small car is the way
Yup. I just bought the new model out this year and it's a fab, whizzy, reliable,, economical, deceptively spacious and all round good fun car to drive!

Yes, as long as you plan on never being in a collision. If you do plan on it then I recommend something a bit larger (like a bicycle)

Yes, and tons more economical then any normal American car. Those American cars always use tons of gas per mile.
toyota brand cars have a track record of running for long period of time-so i would say yes-i can't speak for the Yaris
I agree with Nat. I really wanted one, they have a fab reputation so I test drove one. Aaaarh! I'll never buy one now! Sluggish and noisy.
Its an ideal little car! 2 things to check though:
Some people don't like the seating position
Many have a 'semi-automatic' gearbox: manual, but without a clutch. There have been some technical difficulties with this and some drivers don't get used to it.
I would strongly advise a test drive of this and any other models you consider.

My sister in law has one and she really loves it. She is 16 and its her first car. It's a very nice looking car. The gas mileage is good and its roomy enough for her volleyball stuff and her friends.
YES! I have had one for 6 years. Never gone wrong, Great Car. It is surprisingly spacious inside and a fantacstic display panel.
