The Nissan Micra was voted "the most Horrid car" ever made, is that why there are no questions under Nissan??

THE NISSAN MICRA WAS AND STILL IS A VERY RELIABLE SMALL CAR. I AM A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR AND TAUGHT IN A MICRA FOR A WHILE. GREAT LITTLE CAR. COULDNT REALLY FAULT IT MECHANICALLY. NOT THE BEST CAR FOR LOOKS, BUT LOOKS ARENT EVERYTHING ARE THEY?
Well, I didn't get to vote on this.as long as the memory of the AMC Pacer survives there can be no other car voted 'most horrid'.
What poll was this now. Micras are relialbe little shopping cars. Just a wee bit forgettable and dull.
It's not the car that's horrid so much, it's the people that drive them. i know there are normal people that got tricked into buying a Micra too so if your one of them then ignore this!! But that's a minority. Every time I see one of those cars it's driven by a seriously incompetant driver that seems to struggle to drive in line with traffic, let alone actually control a machine that could kill someone.
They tend to be bought by a few blokes with a serious lack of confidence behind the wheel, young girls that are plainly dangerous or exactly the same and follow the rule book TO THE LETTER, failing completly to adapt at all to any situation that falls short of perfect, then wonder why other drivers give them abuse (I would if an incompetant driver just nearly killed me!!), or older people that arguably are not served well enough by public transport (a free bus that doesn't turn up desn't count), so in order to stay mobile they need to keep themselves on the road well beyond their true abilities to drive, and again drive dangerously simply because they are not capable of handling a car on modern roads.
The group I dislike though are the young boys and girls that buy them and spend their entire life creating dangerous situations for other drivers. Unlike the elderly they all can walk, cycle etc. their just too lazy, therefore I suggest that any time you see a young person driving a Nissan Micra, Birch them!
Fair enough,they're not exactly pretty..but they were also voted one of the best and most reliable second hand motors-maybe cos nobody's had problems with them?
We've had two Micra's in the family, for my wife where it served well as a shopping trolley, and as an ideal vehicle for my sons first car.
Although I was never a regular driver of either of them I found them easy and fun to drive. Reliability was faultless and maintenance was cheap.
They've both now gone, replaced by a Daihatsu and an Almera, but one keeps returning as my son sold it to his sisters boyfriend.
Probably the main reason why there are so few questions about Nissan's is that they're just so bloody reliable, so much so in fact that I've recently bought one as well.
As for the most horrid car, the Austin Allegro must take some beating.
Not sure about the Micra, but the 2 people that think the AMC Pacer and Gremlin are horrid obviously never saw a Matador.
I had one for a while and it got to the point I didn't even want to leave the house.that thing was just plain fugly.
I wouldn't mind having a nice old Gremlin X with the V8 though!

ok, the early k10 was a great small car, little faults and very reliable.
the k11. better looking, unfortunatly the front sub-frame started to rust very early on, and we advised lotse of welding on these parts when the mot's were due.
the k12 (****) the timing chain streched bringing on the engine management light- the sub harnes under the front seats had to be replaced as these brought on the air bag light, lots of little faults, but STILL a good wee car.
