i have owned punto's for many years they have greatly improved over the years.
i myself have never had any problems with fiat cars and would recommend them as a reliable economical car
The new punto has got a nice look to it. But it reminds me of the old punto (the flat rear) which I don't like.

No, not at all - I was unlucky to own a Fiat a few years back

no, being a fiat means bad built quality, high depreciation, cheap parts, bad driving experience and bad brand. Going german is best, the vw polo is built exceptionally well, the car is safe, reliable, and won't leave you empty handed when you part it.
