I own a bike and a car.?

if i write my bike off will this affect my car insurance and vice versa? obviously they are on seperate policys

Answers:
If you write of your bike it wouldnt affect the no claims bonus on your car policy, however when you next renew your policy you will be asked 'have you had any accidents or claims in the last 3 years' to which you will have to reply 'yes'. There will most probably be an increase in premium, but you MUST be honest nowadays as a database holds all accident/claim details.
This is called a material fact and there is a common database that is supported by Insurers. If you claim on the car policy in the future they may decine to pay.
